Solicitor and Barrister's three main obligations Empty Solicitor and Barrister's three main obligations

Tue Feb 06, 2018 10:34 am
A Solicitor and Barrister's three main obligations are as follows

1) First MAIN obligation is to? can you guess who? It's the courts, they swear an Oath to the BAR.

2) Second MAIN obligation is to? can you guess who? It's the public.

3) Third MAIN obligation is to? can you guess who this time? well it's 'YOU', last in line, shocking but true.

4) In the courts, 'the world of commerce' they speak a different language, this language sounds the same as the English language that we speak but some of the words have different meanings.  One prime example is UNDERSTAND.  The language Solicitors and Barristers speak is called 'LEGALISE' and UNDERSTAND in legalise means STAND UNDER.  When the Judge is sitting on his bench looking down at you, he sees a child who cannot understand or speak the language being used in the court.  If/when you employ an adult (solicitor/barrister) they interpret that language for you.  There are books available that explain legalise in detail (Blacks Dictionary is one example)
